ROLL CALL Council members went around the room and stated their names for roll call. Members who could not attend the first meeting introduced themselves. 2. ELECTION OF CHAIR AND VICE-CHAIR Election of Chair Mayor Glasser stated Jessica Ring has expressed interest in the Chair position. Jessica Ring introduced herself and spoke about why she is interested in being chair. Mayor Glasser asked for any other nominations for chair. Steve Piscitelli nominated Ellen Golombek. She respectfully declined the position. Michael Hosto nominated Michael Lanier who also respectfully declined the position. With no other nominations, Mayor Glasser asked for a vote. Election of Vice Chair Mayor Glasser volunteered Steve Piscistelli for the Vice Chair position. Michael Lanier also nominated Steve Piscitelli for Vice Chair. CALL TO ORDER Jessica Ring called the meeting to order at 12:14 4. ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS Abrielle Genest reviewed the Board and Committee training and meeting calendar for 2022. 6. BLUE ZONES Blue Zones Presentation Debbie Watkins and Amelia Clabots, Blue Zones representatives, gave a presentation about Blue Zones. Committee members asked questions and generated discussion. 7. MISCELLANEOUS Michael Lanier and Steve Piscitelli Steve Piscitelli reviewed attachments they provided for the agenda. Abrielle Genest gave a presentation on census data. 8. TOPICS Abrielle Genest reviewed the selection of individual member's top 3-5 topics. With respect to time, Mayor Glasser suggested the council further discuss topic selection at the March meeting. 9. NEXT STEPS Members selected Biking and Complete Streets as the discussion topic for March. 10. PUBLIC COMMENT Rhett Farber addressed the council about activities he participates in that incorporates "whole brain synchronization".
