City Commission adopted Resolution No. 04-02 establishing the City Commission intent to
provide Employee's with an annual+3%Merit Pay increase,
Changed Employee Birthday Holiday to Personal Leave,
Added additional Personal Leave accrual rates of 240, 360, 600, 720 and 840 hours,
Added flexibility so employees may"cash in" their Personal Leave in June and December,
June only, or December only,
Added Christmas Eve as a City Holiday,
Approved a more liberal "vehicle take home"policy for Police Officers,
Approved a+5% add-pay for the Police Officer assigned to the Crime Suppression Unit,
Approved providing a clothing allowance of$650 to the Crime Suppression Unit members,
Approved a+5% add-pay increase for Police Officers assigned as Patrol Investigators/
Evidence Technicians,
Approved a+5% add-pay for members of the SWAT Team while performing SWAT duties,
Increased the add-pay for Field Training Officers from+5%to +10%,
Approved a DROP Plan for all employees,
Approved adding additional Section 185 Benefits to the Police Pension Plan which included
adding an Age 55 with 10 years of service normal retirement options, and
Approved adding additional Section 185 Benefits to the Police Pension Plan to include an
early retirement option at Age 50 with 10 years of service,
Approve changing the City's contribution rate for health insurance to 100% of the HMO
employee only coverage plus 55% of the difference thus reducing the cost to many
employees.
