Dear Ms . Tucker:
We are pleased to advise that the editing and indexing work for
Supplement No. 6 has been completed and the manuscript released
to our shop for typesetting.
We estimate that the Supplement will constitute approximately 108
pages. At the city's current Supplement rate of $18.00 per page
for 50 copies , the cost will be approximately $1, 944.00 (108
pages at $18.00) .
Please keep in mind that the above figures are approximations. It
is virtually impossible to determine the exact number of pages a
manuscript will constitute until it is actually set in type.
It is our pleasure to be of service to the City of Atlantic Beach
in the upkeep of its Code and we trust that you will call on us
whenever we may be of any assistance.
With best wishes ,

Dear Ms . Tucker:
Thank you for your letter of March 22 , 1988 , and the enclosed
material to be considered for inclusion in Supplement No. 6 to
the Atlantic Beach Code. We will be happy to submit an estimate
of cost for the Supplement upon completion of the editorial work.
We appreciate your bringing several corrections that are needed
in the Code to our attention and we apologize for any
inconvenience caused the city by the errors. We will be happy to
make the necessary corrections to Sections 24-17 and 24-109 (f)
with the publication of Supplement No. 6. With regard to the
history note for Section 2-266, the ordinance which we received
for Supplement No. 5 amending said section, as well as 2-167
through 2-270, was numbered 58-86-6 (see enclosure) . We will be
happy to change the history note, in accordance with your
instructions , in Supplement No. 6. As noted in our earlier
correspondence, we will correct Section 24-106 (d) (2) with the
publication of Supplement No. 6 also.
Ordinance No. 40-79-8 was included in the Code as a part of the
recodification project. However, the adoption date which appears
on the copy of the ordinance you transmitted with your letter
differs from the adoption date referenced in the Code. We will
be happy to make necessary correction in the history note for
Charter Section 109 and the Charter Comparative Table with the
publication of Supplement No. 6 .
It is our pleasure to be of service to the City of Atlantic
Beach in the upkeep of its Code. Please feel free to call on us
whenever we may be of any assistance.

I discussed Franchises with Mayor Howell and our City Attorney,

Mrs. Adelaide Tucker
City Clerk
City of Atlantic Beach
Post Office Box 25
Atlantic Beach, Florida 32233
Dear Mrs. Tucker:
Thank you for your letter of May 29 , 1987 , and the enclosed
copies of Ordinance Nos. 25-87-20, 75-87-6, and 90-87-119 to be
considered for inclusion in Supplement No. 6 .
We appreciate your reminder with regard to the error in Section
6-37 (4) of the Code and apologize for any inconvenience caused
the city thereby. We will be happy to change the word "charge"
to "change" with the publication of Supplement No. 6.
With regard to page 1437 (Section 24-106 (d) (2) , it appears that
the Section was incorrect as originally printed during the
recodification project and we do apologize for the inconvenience
caused the city thereby. The page was included in Supplement No.
5 due to the inclusion, in the Code, of Ordinance No. 90-86-113 ,
which (in part) amended Section 24-106 (f) . Inasmuch as Section
24-106 (d) (2) was not set out in the Ordinance, the editor in
charge of Supplement No. 5 did not realize that the Section was
inaccurate. We will be happy to correct Section 24-106 (d) (2) in
accordance with the corrected copy thereof enclosed with your
letter. It was noted in reviewing page 1437, that there is a
typographical error in the history note to Section 24-105. We
will also make the necessary correction in this regard.
We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to the City of
Atlantic Beach in the upkeep of its Code and trust that you will
call on us whenever we may be of any assistance.
