I am a reti red teacher from the D uval county school system. I taught in D uval county for 39 years duri ng my
tenure I was on vari ous committees. This i ncludes but is not limi ted to the following committees: Title I
committee - Whi le on this commi ttee I helped to document how funds were spent and also had i nput i nto
how the funds were spent, PTA, School Advisory committee, Teachers union rep, Pre - K ESE
lead/representative. In the past I have volunteered at WJXT. D uring my tenure there I worked with the
aucti on, membership dri ves, and the WJX T Jacksonvi lle Jazz Festi val. I’ve also volunteered with the
Beaches Area Histori cal society as a guide and the Annual gala. C urrently I am volunteering with BEAM as
a front desk/client representative and helping our clients apply for SNAP benefits.

I’ve lived i n Atlanti c Beach si nce I was five years old and have always been interested in the hi story and
the workings of the city. I want to help Atlantic Beach grow. I feel that there can be some changes to the
C harter whi ch wi ll help us continue to grow and become one cohesi ve city. All areas of Atlantic Beach are
unique and the charter needs to better reflect that, while coming together as one.
