I have lived in Atlantic Beach my whole life. I have seen the
many changes to our roads and how it has affected traffic in all
areas. I retired from the
Duval County Public Schools system after teaching for 39
years. I taught Prek - 6th, with the majority of my tenure in
Early Childhood Education. I taught units are traffic, bike and
pedestrian safety. I have participated in the Complete Street
board/committee applying meetings for Main Street. I am also involved with members of
for. our community thru my work with BEAM.
Please provide a brief
explanation of your
interest and your reasons
for wishing to be
appointed to this
board/committee.
I have seen the increase in the many different kinds of traffic in
Atlantic Beach including pedestrian, (e)bike traffic and golf
carts. And of course the need for adequate parking for the
residents of Atlantic Beach. I believe that we can solve these
issues and still remain the unique beach town, of Atlantic
Beach. This can be done through consistent policies for all of
Atlantic Beach, compromise and unique out the box solutions.
