Re:Oak Tree inspection-337 4th st Ati.Bch,32233
On July 05,2023,at your request,i performed an inspection of a Live Oak located at the
above address. The tree is approximately 50 feet in height and 50 feet in spread. The trunk is
co-dom inapt and measures 28"/29"at DBH.The tree is located on the west side of the home,
immediately adjacent to foundation of the house. A level 2 inspection was made at ground
level using optical magnification, with no climbing involved.
A visual inspection revealed the crown appears mostly full with a small amount of die
back and dead branching present. Of concern,is the damage the root zone is causing to the
foundation of the home. The presence of the tree growing on the wall inside the home(see
photo) is a clear indication that the foundation has been compromised. The attached
structural report from a foundation specialist confirms this. The included photo's of the location
of the tree make it abundantly clear that this tree is the source of the damage. There is no
practical measures to remediate the root zone without irreparable harm/death to the tree.
In summary, the tree would need to be completely removed to prevent further damage
to the home.
Respectfully submitte ,
