Subject: Neptune Beach/Atlantic Beach - Water
[EXTERNAL EMAILI
Hi Jason,
Based on misstatements circulating publicly, there appears to be confusion about Neptune Beach's
position regarding water needs with regard to Atlantic Beach. To clarify, I wanted to send something
over.
With regard to 500 Atlantic, Neptune Beach's position has been that it lacks capacity to serve the
proposed development and that it does not oppose Atlantic Beach servicing that development. If it is
determined at a future date that Neptune Beach can service the development and that Atlantic Beach
would not be required, we will advise you. Otherwise, if the project is developed such that water is
needed from Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach does not oppose that being provided by Atlantic Beach. We
understand that we would need to be a party to a tri -party agreement whereby Neptune Beach would
approve of such service. Neptune Beach is making no formal ask regarding this project; the request is
from the developer based on their proposed needs.
Regarding S72 Atlantic, Neptune Beach has made an affirmative ask. To resolve the issues relating to the
construction of a water tank for fire suppression purposes on that property, the developer and Neptune
Beach entered into an agreement to seek a connection to the proposed 500 Atlantic connection across
Atlantic Boulevard. Accordingly, to the extent the 500 Atlantic connection is ultimately made, Neptune
Beach requests that Atlantic Beach permit the 572 Atlantic owner to connect to the connection solely.
for fire suppression purposes.
I hope this helps clarify any ambiguities, but if there are any questions, please let me know.
Best,
Zach Roth
