A RESOLUTION HONORING LT. JAMES CHRISTMAN FOR HIS
TWENTY-FIVE YEARS OF SERVICE AS AN OUTSTANDING POLICE
LIEUTENANT FOR THE CITY AND CITIZENS OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA
WHEREAS, Lt. James Christman has served as a Police Officer for twenty-five years with
the city; and
WHEREAS, he began his career on October 11, 1974, was promoted to Sergeant in 1980,
and was promoted to Lieutenant on October 11, 1985; and
WHEREAS, he was trained in Traffic Accident Investigation, and assigned to oversee the
Traffic Accident Investigation Function of the Department for several years.
• WHEREAS, he has been instrumental in establishing and managing the Neighborhood Crime
Watch and Crime Prevention Programs for the Department; and
WHEREAS, he is a certified physical fitness instructor and oversees the department's 4
physical fitness program and testing of officers and officer applicants; and
WHEREAS, Lt. Christman has engaged in these additional duties for the department while
he continues his commitment as a shift commander and street supervisor.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF --
ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:.
SECTION 1. The City Commission and Citizens of Atlantic Beach extend their most
heartfelt appreciation to Lt. James Christman for his many years of outstanding service in protecting x
our Community.
