A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
ALLOWING NON-RESIDENTS OF THE CITY TO SERVE ON THE
CULTURAL ARTS BOARD IF APPROVED BY A MAJORITY OF THE
CITY COMMISSION, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Arts and Entertainment Board was created by Resolution No. 94-10,
and renamed the Cultural Arts Board by Resolution No. 95-15, and
WHEREAS, it is now a requirement that all members of said Board be residents of the
City of Atlantic Beach, and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Commission to have non-residents of the City
serve on said Board, provided that a majority of the City Commission approves any such
appointment.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic
Beach as follows:
SECTION 1. Non-residents of the City of Atlantic Beach may be appointed to the
Cultural Arts Board by the Mayor as long as they are confirmed by a majority vote of the entire
City Commission.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its final passage and
adoption.
