A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT EXTENSION AGREEMENT,
EXTENDING CONTRACT NO. B-8684, BETWEEN THE CITY OF ATLANTIC
BEACH AND THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, on February 22, 1994, the City executed an agreement with the Florida
Department of Transportation to provide maintenance on certain streets throughout the city; and
WHEREAS, said contract will expire on March 1, 1997; and
WHEREAS,the Florida Department of Transportation desires to extend the contract through
June 30, 1997, to coincide with their fiscal year.
NOW THEREFORE,be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach as
follows:
SECTION 1. The proposed Contract Extension Agreement between the City of Atlantic
Beach and the Florida Department of Transportation, a copy of which is attached hereto, is approved.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute said Contract Extension Agreement
on behalf of the City of Atlantic Beach.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its final passage and
adoption.
