A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC
BEACH, FLORIDA, PROCLAIMING JUNE 5-12, 1997 AS NURSE ASSISTANTS'
WEEK AND JUNE 5, 1997 AS CAREER NURSE ASSISTANTS' DAY
WHEREAS, Nursing home and other long-term care facilities and agencies in
our community have accepted responsibility for providing care to many of our frail,
elderly, and chronically ill citizens; and
WHEREAS, Many nurse assistants and home care aides in the nursing home and
other long-term care facilities and agencies continue to provide consistent and
compassionate care to these citizens; and
WHEREAS, The conscientious nurse assistant contributes to the quality of life
and the quality of care received by these citizens; and
WHEREAS,Nursing homes, agencies and other facilities providing long-term
care are sponsoring activities in recognition of the contribution of the nurse assistant and
other direct care providers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City
of Atlantic Beach, Florida that we hereby proclaim:
June 5-12, 1997 as
NURSE ASSISTANTS' WEEK and
June 5, 1997 as
CAREER NURSE ASSISTANTS' DAY
throughout this community and encourage all residents to join in recognizing the quality of
care given to our citizens in long term facilities by Nurse Assistants.
Adopted by the City Commission of Atlantic Beach, Florida, this 9th day of June,
1997.
