RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH
RECOGNIZING COMFORT INN, MAYPORT,
FOR ITS ASSISTANCE AND SUPPORT TO THE COMMUNITY
WHEREAS, the association between businesses and the community is vital to the
growth and economic future of Atlantic Beach; and
WHEREAS, The Comfort Inn, Mayport, has been instrumental in attracting and
accommodating tourist and naval personnel to our community; and
WHEREAS, the Comfort Inn, Mayport, has been a long time friend and supporter
of the Community and the Department of Public Safety. The management and staff of the
Comfort Inn, Mayport, has provided outstanding service and assistance to the Atlantic Beach
Police Department, and has provided space and rooms to assist police officers and detectives
in protracted operations.
WHEREAS,The Comfort Inn, Mayport has provided lodging and accommodations
for City Staff in special events and city hurricane planning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Atlantic Beach City
Commission, as well as the Atlantic Beach Police and Fire Departments, wish to recognize
the outstanding management and staff of the Comfort Inn, Mayport, for their
assistance, support, and continuous effort in maintaining the quality of life in Atlantic Beach,
and making it a thriving and safe community.
Adopted by the City Commission of Atlantic Beach, Florida, this 11th day of August,
1997.
