J .� arsolUIturt No. 97-41 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA HONORING ELYSE WEINTRAUB, FIRE SAFETY SPECIALIST WHEREAS Elyse Weintraub served as a Fire Safety Specialist for the Fire/Rescue Department since February 24, 1997; and WHEREAS,the performance of Elyse's duties and responsibilities has been characterized by her dedication,enthusiasm,and professionalism,both to the citizens of Atlantic Beach and her peers; and WHEREAS, Fire Safety Specialist Elyse conducted fire safety inspections in buildings, developed Fire Prevention Programs for the school children, set up training programs for citizen groups within the community, and worked with the other members of the Fire/Rescue Department in the delivery of the public education messages to the citizens; and WHEREAS,Elyse's diligent work on the Celebrity Event/Smoke Detector Fund Raiser drew overwhelming support for the Commission, news media, popular sports organizations, and the citizens that a total of $1,559.42 was raised, allowing for the distribution of over 260 smoke detectors; and WHEREAS, Elyse's work ethic and innovations have been instrumental in improving the professional image of the Fire/Rescue Department and the City of Atlantic Beach, and her ability to implement new programs has been exceptional; and WHEREAS, Elyse has decided to leave the City of Atlantic Beach to further her career we wish her efforts to be recognized and appreciated. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Commission and citizens of Atlantic Beach extend their most heartfelt appreciation to Elyse Weintraub for her outstanding service and contribution to the Fire/Rescue Department of the City.
