A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA HONORING
MACK C. STANFORD FOR HIS TWENTY-EIGHT YEARS OF SERVICE AS AN
EMPLOYEE OF THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT FOR THE CITY OF
ATLANTIC BEACH
WHEREAS, Mack C. Stanford worked for the Public Works Department for twenty-eight
years during which time he held the positions of Water Crew Chief, Maintenance Worker, Lead
Sanitation Worker, and Heavy Equipment Operator; and
WHEREAS, He worked for many years in sewer collection and water distribution, as well
as in the water and sewer plants and, as a result of his long years of service, he gained expert and
complete knowledge of the history of the installation of all water and sewer lines in the City; and
WHEREAS,He operated both of the City's water plants, and he worked as an operator at
the sewer plant; and
WHEREAS, during the last seven years of his service he operated heavy equipment and was
a sludge truck driver, and he was very important in the day to day operations of the sewer plant.
During his career he operated a variety of heavy equipment, and he was always very conscientious
about the operation and maintenance of City equipment, and he always displayed a most cheerful
manner while he performed his work.
WHEREAS,Mack C. Sanford has served as an exemplary employee for the past 28 years.
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED the City Commission of Atlantic Beach, Florida,
does hereby express its congratulations to Mack C. Stanford and extends best wishes for a happy
retirement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution of Recognition and
appreciation be spread upon the official minutes of the City of Atlantic Beach and a certified copy
hereof be furnished to Mack C. Stanford.
Adopted by the City Commission of Atlantic Beach this 14th day of October, 1996.
