95-14 v RESOLUTION 95-14 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA REQUESTING THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE TO SUPPORT THE EXPANSION OF COURT SERVICES OFFERED BY THE CLERK OF THE COURT AT THE BEACH. WHEREAS, the Beaches and the surrounding area account for more than fifteen percent of Duval County's population, and WHEREAS, many of the services provided by the Clerk of the Court's Office requires a thirty-five mile round trip for Beach Citizens of Duval County, and WHEREAS, the Clerk of the Court has the ability to provide the additional services at a reasonable cost at the Beach, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City of Jacksonville assist the 100,000 Citizens in and near the Beach by expanding the services the Clerk of the Court can provide at the Beaches. SECTION 2. The Mayor is authorized to take such action as required to communicate with the City of Jacksonville to seek the accomplishment of expanded Clerk of the Court Services at the Beaches.
