WHEREAS, Dezmond Waters served the citizens of Atlantic Beach with distinction
since his election to Seat 3 on the City Commission in 1991; and
WHEREAS, in addition to his duties as a City Commissioner, Dezmond Waters gave
generously of his time, talents, and energy through his work on committees and boards including
the Zoning Ordinance Revision Committee, the Beautification Committee, and the Recreation
Advisory Board; and
WHEREAS, Dezmond Waters has demonstrated a keen interest in recreation and the arts
. and encouraged the acquisition of additional park land for the enjoyment of future citizens of
Atlantic Beach, and was responsible for the creation of the Cultural Arts Board; and
WHEREAS, Dezmond Waters has indicated he will continue to be involved in the life of
the city and serve on committees for the betterment of the community.
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of Atlantic Beach,
Florida,that Dezmond Waters be recognized for his outstanding contributions to the city and its
citizens through his service.
