RESOLUTION NO. 95-39
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING CERTAIN MONIES BETWEEN FUNDS
WHEREAS, the City Charter of the City of Atlantic Beach requires that the City
Commission approve all budgetary increases and transfers from one fund to another, and
WHEREAS, the nature of budgetary systems and those day to day decisions affecting
such budgetary systems require adjustment from time to time.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of
Atlantic Beach, that the attached Budget Adjustment be approved for the 1995-96 budget.
Adopted by the City Commission this 2nd day of November, 1995.

AGENDA ITEM: 16th Street Dune Crossover Modifications

BACKGROUND: On 10/05/95 construction was stopped on the
16th Street Dune Crossover by order of the Mayor and the City
Manager . At the next City Commission Meeting it was decided
that the City Manager would meet with Mr . and Mrs . Gay to
determine modifications which would make the structure
acceptable to them.
On 10/31/95 the City Manager & Public Works Director met with
Mrs . Gay and it was agreed that the wall will be constructed
on the outside of the pilings on the section of the crossover
noted on the attached plan. As further agreed, the wall will
extend to the ground.
These modifications will require additional wood and manhours
to modify the lumber to attach it to the pilings . Therefore,
we will need approximately two weeks to complete the project
unless we experience a delay in the shipment of additional
treated wood.
Mrs . Gay has agreed to allow our workers access on her
property adjacent to the structure to make these
modifications and we agreed to avoid walking on or putting
any unnecessary pressure on the railroad tie retaining wall
on the South side of her driveway .
The additional cost for materials will be $2 , 515 . 75 for 145
3" x 6" x 14" tongue and groove boards with . 80 retention.
RECOMMENDATION: Recommend approval of the modifications and
additional materials in the amount of
$2 , 515 . 75 .
