CHAPTER 11400—(No. 65.)
AN ACT to Create, Organize and Establish a Municipality,
to be Known and Designated as the Town of Atlantic
Beach, and to Define its Territory Boundaries and to
Provide for its Jurisdiction, Powers and Privileges.
Be It Enacted By the Legislature of the State of Florida:
Section 1. That a Municipal Corporation is hereby
created, organized an destablished in the County of Duval
and State of Florida, under the corporate name of the
Town of Atlantic Beach; the corporate boundaries of
which shall include all the territory described and bounded,
to -wit :
Beginning at a point on the Beach of the Atlantic Ocean,
as shown on a map of a part of Sub -division "A," Atlantic
Beach, Plate Book 6, page 1, of Duval County Records,
where the North side of an unnamed street North of Blocks
62. 63 and -64, as shown on said map, and known as 16th
Street, would, if prolonged intersect with low water mark
of said Atlantic Ocean; running thence Westerly through
the center of said 16th Street to the intersection of said
renter line with the Northerly boundary line of Section 16,
Township 2 South, Range 29 East; running thence Wester-
ly along said Northerly boundary and along the Northerly
boundary lines of Sections 17 and 18 in said Township and
Range to the Northwesterly corner of said Section 18; run-
ning thence Southerly along the Westerly boundary line of
said Section 18 and the Westerly boundary line of Section
19, in said township and range, to the' intersection of the
last mentioned line with the Northerly side of Atlantic
Boulevard ; running thence Easterly along the Northerly
,ile of Atlantic Boulevard and a prolongation of the same
to the point of investigation of said prolongation with low
water mark of said Atlantic Ocean; and running thence
Northerly along said low water mark of Atlantic Ocean to
the point or place of beginning ; all in Duval County, in
the State of Florida, excepting, however, from the territory
hereinbefore described, all streets, roads or highways that
have heretofore been adopted as County Roads by the
County Commissioners of Duval County, Florida.
Sec. 2. The .said municipality. is hereby vested and
granted all the powers and privileges given .to such Mu -
