WHEREAS, Walter Rew was employed by the City of Atlantic Beach
for twenty-eight years where he served as a firefighter, and later,
as Fire Marshal and Fire Chief; and
WHEREAS, Walter Rew dedicated his life to the safety of both
the citizens and employees of Atlantic Beach; and
WHEREAS, Walter Rew has announced his retirement effective
September 30, 1994.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH:
SECTION 1. That the City Commission hereby recognizes with
deep appreciation the competent, loyal and dedicated service of
Walter Rew and extends sincere, best wishes for an enjoyable
retirement.
SECTION 2 . That a copy of this resolution of recognition
and appreciation be spread upon the official minutes of the city of
Atlantic Beach, and a certified copy hereof be furnished to Walter
Rew.
ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach,
Florida, this 24th day of October, 1994.
