NO. 94-51
WHEREAS, Henry W. Cook, as Clerk of the Court for Duval
County, Florida, has made a policy of service and convenience to
those citizens paying traffic citations at his office; and
WHEREAS, Henry W. Cook, since 1988, has opened six satellite
offices throughout Duval County, which has made the unpleasant task
of paying traffic citations at least easier; and
WHEREAS, Henry W. Cook, has now opened a seventh satellite
office at 31 Sailfish Drive in Atlantic Beach, which obviates the
need for beaches residents to cross the Intracoastal Waterway to
pay traffic citations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH:
SECTION 1. That the City Commission hereby recognizes the
effort and dedication of Henry W. Cook, and expresses its
appreciation to him and to the County of Duval for reducing the
added burden of travel for beaches citizens who formerly needed to
drive into Jacksonville to pay traffic citations.
SECTION 2. That a copy of this resolution of recognition
and appreciation be spread upon the official minutes of the City of
Atlantic Beach, and a certified copy hereof be furnished to Henry
W. Cook, the Office of the Mayor of the City of Jacksonville, the
President and members of the Jacksonville City Council and to our
sister cities of Baldwin, Jacksonville Beach, and Neptune Beach.
