A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC UTILITIES DEPARTMENT TO DISPOSE
OF TRUCK PU2102 AND PURCHASE A NEW TRUCK; AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE CONTRACTS AND PURCHASE
ORDERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH AND AS NECESSARY TO
EFFECTUATE THE PROVISIONS OF THIS RESOLUTION; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Public Utilities Department needs a replacement truck for truck PU2102
that was involved in an accident and totaled by the insurance company; and
WHEREAS, the City received $26,338.00 from the insurance company for the totaled
truck; and
WHEREAS, the department has completed a capital disposal request for truck PU2102;
and
WHEREAS, Staff received a quote from Duval Ford Fleet Sales for the Ford F-150
Extended Cab 4X4 truck, priced from the Florida Sheriffs Association Light Vehicle Contract
FSA23-VEL31.0 at $45,199.28; and
WHEREAS, a FY 2023-24 budget modification was submitted to reallocate $8,000 from
account 410-5508-535-3400; and
WHEREAS, upon execution of the budget modification, sufficient funds will be available
in the Public Utilities Fund for this vehicle in account 410-5508-535-6400, in the amount of
$45,199.28.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as follows:
Section 1. The City Commission hereby authorizes Public Utilities to enter a requisition
for the new 2024 Ford F-150 truck in the amount of $45,199.28.
Section 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes the disposal of truck PU2102.
Section 3. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute contracts
and purchase orders in accordance with and as necessary to effectuate the provisions of this
Resolution.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
