A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH TO
CREATE A POSITION OF "DEPUTY CITY MANAGER" TO
PROVIDE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANCE TO THE CITY
MANAGER
WHEREAS, the City Manager periodically needs assistance in
executing his statutory duties to the city; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has previously authorized the
retention of James Jarboe to work on special projects and other matters;
and
WHEREAS, the city has not previously provided for a Deputy City
Manager to help as previously noted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED there is hereby created and
designated a Deputy City Manager who is charged with reporting to and
assisting the City Manager in the execution of municipal matters and
other assignments as delegated; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is authorized to
appoint a Deputy City Manager subject to approved funding by the City
Commission, tenure and compensation for the Deputy City Manager to be
determined by the City Commission.

of September, 1992.
