SHUTDOWN. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE AUDIBLE AND VISUAL ALARM IN A CONSTANTLY OCCUPIED LOCATION. ALARM SHALL BE
LABELED "DUCT TROUBLE".
9.ALL WORK SHALL BE PERFORMED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE 2023 FLORIDA MECHANICAL CODE, WITH ALL REVISIONS, NFPA 90A
AND ASHRAE 62.1-2016.
10.GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN SERVICES OF A TEST AND BALANCE AGENCY THAT SPECIALIZES IN AND WHOSE BUSINESS IS
LIMITED TO THE TESTING AND BALANCING OF AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS AND IS A TRUE THIRD PARTY OF THE MECHANICAL
CONTRACTOR. THE AGENCY SELECTED SHALL BE A FULLY CERTIFIED MEMBER OF THE ASSOCIATED AIR BALANCE COUNCIL (AABC)
OR NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL BALANCING BUREAU. (NEBB) TEST AND BALANCE ENTIRE HVAC SYSTEM IN ACCORDANCE WITH
LATEST AABC OR NEDD STANDARDS. SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE SUFFICIENT TIME BEFORE THE SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION
DATE SO THAT TESTS AND BALANCING CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED.
10.A.NAME OF TEST AND BALANCE AGENCY SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO THE ENGINEER FOR APPROVAL WITHIN 20 DAYS AFTER
RECEIPT OF CONTRACT. TEST AND BALANCE AGENCY SHALL NOTIFY ENGINEER OF ANY ADDITIONAL REQUIRED TEST COCK
LOCATIONS, BALANCING DAMPER LOCATIONS, ETC. WITHIN 30 DAYS AFTER APPROVAL OF THE AGENCY. ANY ADDITIONAL
BALANCING DEVICES REQUIRED BY THE TEST AND BALANCE AGENCY AFTER THIS PERIOD WILL BE INSTALLED AT NO EXPENSE
TO THE OWNER BY THE CONTRACTOR.
10.B.TEST AND BALANCE AGENCY SHALL INCLUDE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY OF 90 DAYS, AFTER COMPLETION OF TEST AND
BALANCE WORK, DURING WHICH TIME THE ENGINEER, AT THEIR DISCRETION, MAY REQUEST A RECHECK OR RESETTING OF ANY
ITEMS INCLUDED IN THE AIR DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS. IN THE EVENT THE REPORT IS REJECTED, ALL SYSTEMS SHALL BE
READJUSTED AND TESTED, NEW DATA RECORDED, NEW CERTIFIED REPORTS SUBMITTED, AND NEW INSPECTION TESTS
MADE.THE AGENCY SHALL PROVIDE TECHNICIANS TO ASSIST THE ENGINEER IN MAKING ANY TEST THEY MAY REQUIRE DURING
THIS PERIOD OF TIME.
11.FOR ANY UNITS WITH HOT GAS REHEAT, VAV CONTROLS, BAS INTERFACES,ETC., MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR NEEDS TO
COMMISSION THE UNIT AFTER INSTALLATION.
12.MAINTAIN A MINIMUM OF 10'-0" BETWEEN ALL OUTDOOR INTAKES AND ANY VENTS OR EXHAUSTS.
13.ALL DUCTWORK LOCATED IN UNCONDITIONED SPACES SHALL BE INSULATED WITH A MINIMUM R-6.
14.RTU's SHALL HAVE AN OUTDOOR AIR INTAKE BALANCED TO SCHEDULED VALUES.
15.ROUTE CONDENSATE FROM RTU'S TO NEAREST ROOF DRAINS.
16.RTU CONCEALED DUCTWORK SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED WITH SHEET METAL OR DUCTBOARD. EXPOSED DUCT SHALL BE SHEET
METAL AND INTERNAL INSULATED OR INSULATED SPIRAL DUCT PER LATEST SMACNA STANDARDS.
17.ALL RTU'S AND ROOF MOUNTED EF'S SHALL BE INSTALLED ON FACTORY INSULATED ROOF CURBS. CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE ROOF
CURB ANGLES FOR ALL ROOF PENETRATIONS INCLUDING KITCHEN EQUIPMENT.
18.ALL ROOF CURBS SHALL BE FABRICATED SO THAT THE TOP OF CURB IS LEVEL WITH THE HORIZON REGARDLESS OF ROOF PITCH.
19.ALL UNITS SHALL HAVE INSULATED DRAIN PANS AND SHALL BE INTERNALLY INSULATED AND WATERPROOFED. CONDENSATE SHALL
BE SIZED AND TRAPPED PER MANUFACTURER'S RECOMMENDATIONS.
20.RTU CASINGS SHALL BE DIEFORMED STEEL WITH SMOOTH PANEL CONSTRUCTION WITHOUT SHARP ANGLES OR EDGES. ALL

21.PROVIDE ENGINEER OF RECORD WITH HVAC EQUIPMENT CUT SHEETS. CUT SHEETS SHALL BE APPROVED PRIOR TO INSTALLATION.
22.THE MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL VISIT THE SITE PRIOR TO SUBMITTING A BID FOR THE PROJECT. THE MECHANICAL
