A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH
DESIGNATING THE OLD CITY HALL AT 716 OCEAN
BOULEVARD AS THE "ADELE GRAGE COMMUNITY CENTER" ;
SETTING AN INITIAL SCHEDULE OF FEES FOR THE USE
THEREOF; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Adele S. Grage served the City of Atlantic Beach as
City Clerk/Treasurer-Comptroller from 1941 through 1973 , and
WHEREAS, Adele S. Grage, who was fondly known as "Mrs. City
Hall" for 32 years, was born in Atlanta, Georgia on March 29, 1896
and died on August 28, 1983 , and
WHEREAS, the old City Hall at 716 Ocean Boulevard shall
continue to serve the residents of Atlantic Beach as a Community
Center, with nominal fees to be charged for the use of the
Community Center to cover only certain expenses of operating and
maintaining the building.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The old City Hall located at 716 Ocean Boulevard,
Atlantic Beach, Florida shall be available for use to the public as
a Community Center, and shall hereafter be designated and known as
the "ADELE GRAGE COMMUNITY CENTER" .
Section 2 . The following schedule of fees for the use of the
"ADELE GRACE COMMUNITY CENTER" shall be effective immediately:
(a) Daily, Monday through Friday, during the hours of
8 : 00 A.M. until 5: 00 P.M. - NO CHARGE.
(b) Weekends and after 5: 00 P.M. any day:
i. $25. 00 minimum charge, which covers up to three
(3) hours;
ii. $10. 00 for each hour or portion thereof after
three (3) hours.
(c) Holidays, as recognized by the City: all charges
will be doubled.
(d) All events must be pre-scheduled through the Parks
and Recreation Department of the City.

Section 3 . This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its adoption.
PASSED by the City Commission of Atlantic Beach, Florida this
8th day of July, 1991.
