A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH
OPPOSING THE PROPOSED MOVEMENT OF THE COSTAL
CONSTRUCTION CONTROL LINE WESTWARD WITHIN THE
BOUNDARIES OF ATLANTIC BEACH.
WHEREAS, the State has already established a Costal
Construction Control Line (CCCL) throughout the City of
Atlantic Beach, and
WHEREAS, the City believes the present line achieves the
intent and purpose of the enabling, statutory legislation,
and,
WHEREAS, the City believes the proposed moving of the
CCCL westward represents a future infringement on its
jurisdiction, responsibilities, and "home rule" .
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Commission of
the City opposes the proposed movement of the CCCL westward
within the boundaries of Atlantic Beach.
PASSED by the City Commission of Atlantic Beach, Florida
this 26th day of August , 1991.
