WHEREAS, Sybil Fix came to the City of Atlantic Beach with the
title of "Reporter," but in reality, was as green as grass, and
WHEREAS, the City has spent countless hours and dollars training
her for her journalistic pursuits, and
WHEREAS, the training seems to finally be yielding fruit, and
WHEREAS, sensing our successful training influence and results, her
employer, the Florida Times-Union, has opted to transfer her to one of
their "hotspots" for reporters, the Westside of Jacksonville, and
WHEREAS, she will be missed.
NOW THEN BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH that we
officially and perpetually bestow on her the title "Cub Reporter," and
convey to her an official pencil and steno pad, to recognize her service
to the citizens of our City.
FINALLY, we wish her the very best success in the future and hope
she will always have fond memories of the City of Atlantic Beach and its
people.
