88-19 v RESOLUTION NO. 88-19 WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach wishes to participate in setting up a permanent tribute to the Bi-Centennial of the United States Constitution, and WHEREAS, the Atlantic Beach Garden Circle, Girl Scout Troop No. 46, and Boy Scout Troop No. 37, wish to participate in the activities contributing to this permanent tribute, and WHEREAS, the City owns a grassy median strip in the parking lot of the property known as Jack Russell Park, and WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to name this strip as a permanent tribute to the Bi-Centennial as part of the living legacy to be planted by the Atlantic Beach Garden Circle, Girl Scout Troop No. 46 and Boy Scout Troop No. 37, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA Section 1. That the grassy median in the parking lot at Jack Russell Park be and it hereby is named Constitution Arbor and set aside as a permanent tribute to the Bi-centennial of the United States Constitution. Section 2. That the City Commission does hereby thank the Atlantic Beach Garden Circle, Girl Scout Troop No. 46, and Boy Scout Troop No. 37 for their part in the planting of this living legacy in the area now known as Constitution Arbor.
