Committee (CARAC) Meeting

1. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
The meeting was called to order at 9:01 am.
2. RECOGNITION OF VISITORS
3. TOPICS
A. Vision & Mission Statement
A draft of the Vision and Mission Statement will be placed on the September 14 regular
meeting for approval.
B. Survey Update
We have received 93 survey results despite aggressive marketing by city staff. Veronica
made a code paper to assist the committee with getting more results.
C. Grant Update
It was decided that the committee would meet on September 9 to review packets and
invite presenters. The following meeting, September 14, the committee would vote on
the packets.
The committee also discussed whether a proposal should be looked on more favorably
if the city is the single source of funding or additional funding to a project. It was agreed
that the committee should consider the final report when scoring the application, look
for weather/covid alternate plans for outdoor events and not to consider demographics
for this year.

Timmy will notify the organizations that the committee's recommendation will be for
full, partial or no funding.
D. Meetings
September 9 beginning at 9 am.
September 14 beginning at 6 pm.
E. Events
It was decided to move the Jazz Fest to November 20 and move the Dog Fest to the
Spring.
Another request was made for Scrumwise to assist with planning.
Attendance at meetings is important to accomplish goals. Missing three meetings
without letting Timmy know will result in being removed from the committee.
A request was made for committee polo shirts to better represent the city at events.
4. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 10:34 pm.
