The meeting was called to order at 9:02 am.

FACE - Owner Kirk Farber requested $3,000 for his program. The funds would cover
three sets of 8 sessions for 8 students at Atlantic Beach Elementary. Sessions include
physical activities such as juggling and jump rope.

New Age Hippy - Owner Sheri Nicholson requested $1,920 to run 4 workshops at the
Baker Center. The goal is life in balance for all ages and she uses Tai Chi, meditation
and balance exercises to improve life quality.
PossAbilities - Owner Susan Peters presented to the committee that this is a 3 year old
program. The funds would help support twice a week activities for youth/young adults
who have challenges interacting with other people.
Connecting Through Music - Owner Karen Demuth presented to the committee that they
provide music classes to students with different abilities during the class day at Neptune
Beach Elementary. They requested $3,000.
Meraki Wellness - Owner Tracy Marko requested $3,000. The funds would support the
wellness fair in Atlantic Beach. The plan is to present different ideas for wellness to the
general population such as meditation, yoga, and mindfulness.
Beaches Go Green - Owner Anne Marie Moquin requested $3,000 to have a large exhibit
at the Deck the Chairs event that highlights the negative aspects of single-use plastics.
Word Revolt - Owner Theresa Rykaczewski requested $500 to support new artists
getting exposure in a small gallery on Mayport Road.
Jacksonville Dance Theater - Presenter Winter Bosanko requested $3,000 to support a
dance day at the local elementary schools.
Yesha Taekwondo - Owner Chuck Coker requested to provide free martial arts lessons
on the Beach.
Beaches Fine Arts - Presenter Kathy Wallis requested $3,000 for videos of musicians
and artists to share with DCPS.
Birds of Fire - Did not present.
Beaches Town Center Agency - Did not present.
Fletcher High School Band - Presenters Randy Salinasr and Dabni McCrary requested
$15,000 to establish a color guard at the High School and two middle schools.
Mayport Middle School - Presenters Latrise Smith and Jill Jenkins requested $12,000
for snacks, t-shirts, string bags and water bottles for the rising 6th grade students. $2,000
will support creating a water bottle sculpture for Beaches Go Green.
Seaside Charter - Presenters Cory Jackson and Mariel Duffy requested $5,080 to paint
the skate park walls with a mural.

The committee discussed cost of individual programs and debated different aspects of
the programs as they help citizens of Atlantic Beach.
