Call to Order Chairperson Grant Healy called the meeting to order at 6:03 pm 2. Approval of minutes of the CARAC meeting – July 26, 2018 Beverly motioned to accept the minutes as submitted, Dawn seconded and the motion carried. 3. Recognition of Visitors None 4. New Business a) Contribution Guidelines for City Supported Organizations and Schools Recreation Director, Timmy Johnson explained that six organizations submitted an application for funding that are not schools. Bringing the total of applications to nine. Last year, there were a total of 12 applications. Grant mentioned giving the organizations a total of 10 minutes for the presentations. If approved, there is a total of $48,300 budgeted. The schools will present first. Marina mentioned calculating a per person per hour figure. The information will be submitted to the Recreation Director for distribution. Marina mentioned having a conflict of interest with the Youth Empowerment Organization and would not score the application. b) Henry Flagler Train Day & Bike Festival Bob reported that the Community Presbyterian approved parking for 100 spaces, an application has been submitted to Atlantic Beach Elementary for overflow parking, the Church has approved the event and the $100 charge is primarily for clean-up. The event will take place at Community Presbyterian Church on March 9, 2019. This event will take the place of Bocce Ball and the budget for Bocce Ball is $800. Bob motioned to approve the Henry Flagler Train Day & Bike Festival as a committee event to replace Bocce Ball. Marina seconded and the motion carried. 5. New Business a) Committee Term Limit Extension The Committee members term limit have been extended to March 2019. 6. Other Agenda Items/Announcements 7.
