86-02 v RESOLUTION NO. 86-2 WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville receives funds as a municipality under the Community Development Block Grant Program, and WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville is desirous of seeking legislation authorizing the City to apply for Community Development Block Grant funds as an urban county, and WHEREAS, should such legislation be implemented ,the beaches cities would be able to participate in the funding of the Community Development Block Grant Program, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows: Section 1. The City of Atlantic Beach supports the effort by the City of Jacksonville to seek enabling legislation to allow the City of Jacksonville to apply for Community Development Block Grant funds as an urban county. Section 2. In the event such legislation is enacted, the City of Atlantic Beach will make every effort to work with the City of Jacksonville in regards to local data and statistics relative to housing and other CDBG related matters in connection with the Community Development Block Grant Program.
