86-17 v RESOLUTION NO. 86-17
WHEREAS, the Beaches Area Chamber of Commerce wishes to undertake a
landscaping project in Atlantic Beach, and
WHEREAS, said project will consist of placing palm trees along the
Atlantic Boulevard right of way beginning at the Intracoastal Waterway
and coming east, and
WHEREAS, a portion of the project beginning approximately 200 feet
west of Begonia Street is within the corporate limits of the City of
Atlantic Beach, and
WHEREAS, the firm installing the plantings will maintain same for
two years, at which time that responsibility will fall to the City of
Atlantic Beach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City
of Atlantic Beach, Florida, as follows:
Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk be, and they hereby are,
authorized to execute a memorandum of agreement for the maintenance of
highway landscaping between the City of Atlantic Beach and the State
Department of Transportation to be effective two years after the date of
the installation of said plantings.
Section 2. This Resolution will take effect upon its adoption.
