A RESOLUT ON OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH IN MEMORY
OF WALTER R. MURR
WHEREAS, the life of Walter R. Murr, President of the Beaches Area
Chamber of Commerce was a classic example of community involvement; and
WHEREAS, the civic contributions of Walter R. Murr were significant,
including the promotion of the beaches through the Kingfish Tournament,
Beaches Area Merchants Association, Beaches Area Chamber of Commerce, Retail
Merchants Association, Beaches Jaycees, Hospitality and Tourism Association,
Beaches Historical Society, and United States Coast Guard Auxiliary; and
WHEREAS, Walter R. Murr will always be remembered by his colleagues,
friend and neighbors,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA, that Walter R. Murr be commended for his civic
contributions, and that we hereby express our profound and sincere appre-
ciation for the life and services of Walter R. Murr, and that we hereby
express to his family our most sincere sympathy, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that recognition of such service be spread upon
the official minutes of this Honorable Body by a copy hereof and this original
Resolution be presented to the family of Walter R. Murr from the citizens of
Atlantic beach, Florida.
ADOPTED UNANIMOUSLY by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic.Beach,
Florida this, the 8th day of December, 1986.
