A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE BEACHES FALLEN
WARTIME HEROES MONUMENT IN BEACHES VETERANS
MEMORIAL PARK TO NOBLE MONUMENT COMPANY, INC.;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE CONTRACTS
AND PURCHASE ORDERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH AND AS
NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on November 24, 2024, the Beaches Veterans Memorial Park Committee
sent a letter requesting the City of Atlantic Beach contract for the construction and installation of
the Beaches Fallen Wartime Heroes Monument and the additional items needed to complete the
project; and
WHEREAS, this is a joint project of the City and the Beaches Veterans Memorial Park
Committee to honor Beaches Fallen Wartime Heroes and to provide a suitable environment for
family, friends, and residents to gather, pay tribute, and find healing through this monument; and
WHEREAS, the Beaches Veterans Memorial Park Committee contacted several
contractors for quotes and only Noble Monument Company, Inc., responded; and
WHEREAS, the Beaches Veterans Memorial Park Committee requests the City award a
sole -source contract to Noble Monument Company, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, the Beaches Veterans Memorial Park Committee raised $19,500 for the
monument and $6,000.00 for the foundation and lighting; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission approved $25,000 under Project PW2510 towards the
monument, and the cost for the monument per the proposal from Noble Monument Company, Inc.
dated January 8, 2025, is $44,500, with an option for a polished back for an additional $1,550; and
WHEREAS, the foundation and lighting will be installed by contractors selected by the
City.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby awards the Beaches Fallen Wartime Heroes
Monument contract to Noble Monument Company, Inc. in the amount of $44,500 to perform the
work in accordance with the proposal specifications.
SECTION 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute an
agreement with Noble Monument Company, Inc., and approve the purchase Order to said vendor
in the amount of $44,500 with an option for a polished back for an additional $1,550.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
