A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE MODERNIZATION OF THE EFFLUENT
CONTROL SYSTEM AT THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE CONTRACTS
AND PURCHASE ORDERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH AND AS
NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Public Utilities Department Wastewater Treatment Effluent Control
System is obsolete, and parts can no longer be obtained for repairs; and
WHEREAS, staff reached out to ITG Technologies for a quote for the modernization of
the system to be integrated with the current SCADA system; and
WHEREAS, Staff received a quote from ITG Technologies in the amount of $102,530.00;
and
WHEREAS, ITG Technologies developed the current SCADA system and has been the
only company to update and maintain it since it's inception; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are available in the Public Utilities Fund for Project PU2503
in account 410-5508-535-6300, in the amount of $105,000.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as follows:
Section 1. The City Commission hereby appropriates funds from City's Public Utilities
Fund 410-5508-535-6300 for the modernization of the effluent control system of the wastewater
treatment plant.
Section 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute contracts
and purchase orders in accordance with and as necessary to effectuate the provisions of this
Resolution.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
