A RESOLUTION, AMENDING RESOLUTION N0.
69-10; PERTAINING TO INCREASING THE
ASSESSMENT OF COURT COSTS'FOR THE EDUCA-
TION AND TRAINING OF POLICE OFFICERS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH,
FLORIDA, as follows:
Section I. Assessment of court costs.
Every person convicted for a violation of a state penal or
criminal statute or of a municipal ordinance or of Chapter 316, Florida
Statutes, occurring within the City ,of Atlantic Beach, Florida, shall, in
addition to the payment of the fineiand/or imprisonment, pay such court
costs as shall be adjudicated by the court, and, in addition, shall pay
the sum of four dollars ($4.00) as the assessments provided by Sections
943.25(4) and (8), Florida Statutes,' 1981, for 'criminal justice education
and training. However, no such assessment shall be made against any person
convicted for violation of any state statute or municipal ordinance relating
to the parking of vehicles; and, provided further, that such education and
training activities conform to the requirements of Section 943.14, Florida
Statutes 1981.
Section II. Effective Date.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
passage by the City Commission.
