ESC Outreach Subcommittee Meeting
Wednesday, February 19, 2025 - 4:45 PM
City Hall, Commission Chamber

1. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
The meeting was called to order at 4:50p.m.
2. PUBLIC COMMENTS (5 MINUTES)
No public comments were submitted.
3. TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION
A. ESC Education, Outreach, Marketing, and Communication Matters Summary of
Discussion:
1. Edible Orchard:
o Missed planting window for February
o Discussed possible other locations such as Tidesview, ABE, and 100
West 1st Street
o Action Items:
Sarah/Bruce to talk to ABE principal
Sarah to take photos of each location to discuss at the next ESC
meeting
2. Awards:
o Need to move date and update materials again
o Action Items:
Sarah to work with ABBQ on new date
Sarah to update all materials and send out to ESC and beyond
3. HOW Series:
Set for 3/6/25 with Hunter Mathews on “How to Protect the Marsh” – just need
to promote heavily
Final Decisions:
Look for other locations for Edible Orchard
Find new date for Awards and update materials
Promote 3/6/25 HOW event
Next Steps /Action Items:
1. Sarah
o Talk to ABE principal
o Take photos of each location to discuss at next ESC meeting
