A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING FOUNDATION REPAIRS FOR THE PUMP ROOM AT
WATER TREATMENT PLANT #2; AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE CONTRACTS AND PURCHASE ORDERS IN
ACCORDANCE WITH AND AS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE
PROVISIONS OF THIS RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Public Utilities Department Capital Improvement Project PU2317
involves foundation repairs in the water treatment plant #2 high-speed service pump room; and
WHEREAS, Staff received five (5) foundation repair quotes; and
WHEREAS, after evaluating each quote, Staff recommends Sunshine Foundation Repair
for $48,322.00. Their quote contains PolyLevel solution along with Helical Piers in the repairs;
and
WHEREAS, funds are available in the Public Utilities Capital Improvement Projects
account for Project PU2317 in the amount of $100,000; and
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as follows:
Section 1. The City Commission hereby appropriates funds from City's Public Utilities
Fund 400-5502-533-6300 for the foundation repairs for the pump room at water treatment plant
#2.
Section 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute contracts
and purchase orders in accordance with and as necessary to effectuate the provisions of this
Resolution.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
