A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO CONTRACT WITH C & L LANDSCAPE,
INC. TO PERFORM TIDE VIEWS PRESERVE NORTH KAYAK LAUNCH
RENOVATION; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
THE CONTRACT AND PURCHASE ORDER IN ACCORDANCE WITH
AND AS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Atlantic Beach has identified the renovations to the Tide Views
Preserve North Kayak Launch as a priority project based on its current deteriorated condition; and
WHEREAS, C & L Landscape, Inc. has a current contract with the City of Jacksonville,
Contract # SC -0397-22, that the City of Atlantic Beach can piggyback on this contract to complete
the Tide Views Preserve North Kayak Launch Renovation project; and
WHEREAS, the project scope of work is to complete renovations to the North Kayak
Launch including all railing, decking stringers and pile caps; and
WHEREAS, C & L Landscape, Inc. submitted a proposal in the amount of $35,608 for
the North Kayak Launch renovation; and
WHEREAS, all work shall be performed in accordance with the Contract Documents; and
WHEREAS, the project can be substantially funded from the reallocation of funding from
two budgeted projects at Tide Views Preserve that are a lower priority than renovating the North
Kayak Launch. These projects are the Tide Views Miscellaneous Walkway Repairs project
(Project PW2340), with an unencumbered budget of $20,000, and the ADA Access to Sunset Pier
project (PW2509), with an unencumbered budget of $15,000. The remaining project cost balance,
$608, will be reallocated from the Dutton Island Re -Decking project (PW2330) with an
unencumbered budget of $7,339; and
WHEREAS, reallocating a total of $35,608 from the three projects is adequate to fund the
North Kayak Launch repair project.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City of Atlantic Beach to
contract with C & L Landscape, Inc. in the amount of $35,608 to perform the work for said contract
in accordance with the contract specifications;

SECTION 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the
Contract with C & L Landscape, Inc. and approve a Purchase Order to said vendor in the amount
of $35,608;
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
