RESOLUTION NO. 94-48
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC
BEACH, FLORIDA, INCREASING THE NUMBER
OF MEMBERS OF THE ATLANTIC BEACH TEEN
COUNCIL, CHANGE THE RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT
FOR COUNCIL MEMBERS AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on September 12, 1994 the City Commission
adopted Resolution No. 94-30 creating the Atlantic Beach
Teen Council, and
WHEREAS, the Atlantic Beach Teen Council as created,
was to be composed of 15 members appointed by the Mayor and
confirmed by the City Commission, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has expressed desire to
increase the composition of the board, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has expressed a further
desire to allow participation from interested members beyond
the corporate limits of the City of Atlantic Beach, Florida.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission
of the City of Atlantic Beach, as follows:
Section 1. The Atlantic Beach Teen Council shall be
composed of a number of members as deemed appropriate by the
Mayor and as confirmed by appointment through the City
Commission.
Section 2. Members of the Atlantic Beach Teen
Council shall be residents of the City of Atlantic Beach,
Florida, however, to fully represent the geographical area
surrounding the City of Atlantic Beach, the Mayor upon
confirmation by the City Commission may appoint members
residing outside the corporate limits of said City.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect
immediately upon its final passage and adoption.
