Tree Evaluations: Tree 1 •Species: Quercus virginiana (Live Oak) •DBH: 30 inches •Height: Approximately 60 feet •Canopy Spread: Approximately 30 feet Observations: This Live Oak exhibits poor foliar density, which is indicative of declining vitality. Upon inspection, the tree is showing clear evidence of irreversible decay, particularly at structural unions that impact the overall stability and long-term survivability of the tree. Recommendation: Due to the presence of advanced decay and structural compromise, this tree poses a risk to nearby structures and individuals. Removal is recommended. Tree 2 •Species: Magnolia grandiflora (Southern Magnolia) •DBH: 30 inches •Height: Approximately 40 feet •Canopy Spread: Approximately 20 feet Observations: This Magnolia has suffered significant crown damage, with multiple major leads missing—likely as a result of past wind events. Large wound sites throughout the crown are exhibiting severe decay. The loss of structural limbs and progression of internal decay are contributing to an unstable and hazardous condition. Recommendation: Removal of this tree is advised due to compromised structural integrity and advanced decay, which present a potential safety hazard. Conclusion: Based on the site assessment and current condition of the trees in question, both trees exhibit health and structural issues that render them non-viable and potentially hazardous. Removal of both specimens is advised in the interest of safety and property preservation. Please let me know if you require assistance coordinating removal or replanting recommendations.
