A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
AWARDING BID NO. 2425-02 FOR WATER PLANT #3 EXTERIOR
PAINTING OF GROUND STORAGE TANKS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE CONTRACTS AND PURCHASE ORDERS IN
ACCORDANCE WITH AND AS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE
PROVISIONS OF THIS RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on May 14, 2025, six bids were received and opened for City Bid No. 2425-
02, Water Treatment Plant #3 Exterior Painting of Ground Storage Tanks; and
WHEREAS, the lowest bidder, Tank Rehab, provided all of the required documents in its
bid submittal; and
WHEREAS, the project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment for
pressure washing, exterior painting and removal & replacement of all aerator and vent screens on
two 150,000 -gallon Crom ground storage tanks at Water Treatment Plant #3, located at 902 Assisi
Lane; and
WHEREAS, funds are available for this project in account No. 400-5502-533-6300,
Project No. PU2509 in the amount of $100,000.00; and
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as follows:
Section 1. The City Commission hereby authorizes awarding Bid No. 2425-02 to Tank
Rehab in the amount of $93,500.00 to perform the work for said bid in accordance with the bid
specifications.
Section 2. The City Commission hereby appropriates funds from the City's Public Utilities
Fund 400-5502-533-6300 in Project PU2509 for this purpose.
Section 3. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute contracts
and purchase orders in accordance with and as necessary to effectuate the provisions of this
Resolution.
Section 5. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
