CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Ford called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM.
1. WELCOME AND INTRODUCTIONS
Mayor Ford welcomed officials from Neptune Beach and Atlantic Beach. The meeting
addressed Neptune Beach's request to use Atlantic Beach water for fire suppression at the Kmart
Plaza.
Mayor Ford explained the discussion was informational, with public comment to follow, and
committed to allowing public input before any resolution vote.
Mayor Bylund clarified the request is for a developer -funded meter on existing infrastructure,
used only if a fire triggers the sprinkler system. The intent is to meet insurance requirements,
not supply water for firefighting.
2. PRESENTATION AND DISCUSSION: ATLANTIC BEACH WATER SUPPLY
Steve Diebenow, representative for the developer and Matt Melchiori, Civil Engineer for
ProsserlPrime gave a presentation as detailed in a photo (which is attached hereto and made part
of this official record as Attachment A) and answered questions.
