A. Budget Workshop #7 Presentation
Final Overview
CM Killingsworth presented as detailed in the agenda packet and answered questions
from the Commission. FD Percell, PWD Carper, NDD Askew, PC Gualillo, and CE
Swann answered questions.
The Commission reviewed proposed enhancements and, following extensive discussion,
there was a CONSENSUS to approve funding allocations totaling approximately $1.9
million. Final decisions are reflected in an Excel spreadsheet (which is attached hereto
and made part of this Official Record as Attachment A).

Budget Workshop

The Commission discussed the following items and reached agreement on the following
items as noted:
Beaches Town Center Street Light Replacement – $100,000, contingent upon
participation from Neptune Beach.
Fletcher High School Band – $5,000, contingent on matching funds from
Jacksonville Beach and/or Neptune Beach.
New Walkovers – The Commission removed this item ($140,000) from
consideration following an update from Mayor Ford regarding potential federal
funding for dune walkover projects communicated by Congressman Rutherford’s
office.
ESC Awards – The Commission agreed to incorporate the ESC awards into the
City's Annual Committee Appreciation event. CM Killingsworth noted that
approximately $2,000 could likely be identified within the existing budget to
support the film series initiative.
