A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PROVIDE $65,000 IN
FISCAL YEAR 2025-26 GRANT FUNDING FOR ARTISTIC,
RECREATIONAL AND CULTURAL PROGRAMS, EVENTS AND
PROJECTS UTILIZING FUNDS BUDGETED IN ACCOUNT NO. 001-
6010-572-82-00; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
ANY CONTRACTS AND PURCHASE ORDER(S) IN ACCORDANCE
WITH AND AS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE PROVISIONS OF
THIS RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, in accordance with Article I, Section 2-2, of the City of Atlantic Beach
Code of Ordinances, the City "may contribute city funds or other support to artistic, recreational,
or cultural programs, events or projects which benefit the residents of Atlantic Beach," and
establishes guidelines, accordingly; and
WHEREAS, the Arts, Recreation and Culture Committee (ARCO) is tasked with
reviewing grant funding requests and making recommendations to the City Commission; and
WHEREAS, ARCC followed its application guidelines for grant requests, reviewed the
requests, and made a funding recommendation to the City Commission; and
WHEREAS, funds for this purpose are allocated in Account No. 001-6010-572-82-00.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic
Beach as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to provide FY
2025-26 grants to the following organizations and schools, utilizing funds allocated in Account
No. 001-6010-572-82-00, as follows:
$3,500 Beaches Fine Arts Series
$5,000 Beaches Juggling Club
$2,400 Beaches Museum Atlantic Beach Exhibit
$5,000 Brush Up Canvas Paint Class
$5,000 Chair Yoga — Tony Hanneken
$2,452 Fitness & Character Education
$5,000 First Coast Comedy
$4,000 Here Tomorrow Concert
$4,100 New Age Hippy Life in Balance
$3,620 Outdoor Escape Room Experiences — Eran Tobol
$5,000 PossAbilities Plus SociAbilities
$5,000 Preventative Health with Tai Chi
$5,000 First Act Childrens' Theatre Reminiscence Project

SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute any contracts and
purchase orders in accordance with and as necessary to effectuate the provisions of this
Resolution.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and
adoption.
