I've worked for the past 6 years for a non-profit association out of Washington D.C. My experience working in the
nonprofit sector has strengthened my commitment to fair, and transparent decision-making — qualities I believe are
essential for serving on the city’s variance committee. In my nonprofit role, I’ve balanced diverse stakeholder
interests, followed structured processes, and considered the broader impact of individual decisions on the
organization and our members (clients). This background will help me approach issues with both empathy and
objectivity, ensuring that recommendations are consistent with the city’s goals while supporting residents’ legitimate
needs

My work requires me to lead teams and to be part of many committees and work groups. I have worked with all levels
from CEO to staff in the course of 30+ years in human resources.
Please describe any community involvement or volunteer experience relative to the board/committee you are
applying for.
I volunteer with BEAM, a non-profit that's well known here in our community. Volunteering my time shows my
commitment to the greater good - I'm not in this for myself but to help the broader community.

I value maintaining the character and charm of our small city while recognizing that thoughtful change is sometimes
necessary to support growth and progress.
