Summary
David Martin , an ISA certified arborist ( FL-9959A) , conducted an assessment of 7 Live Oak ( Quercus
11 0
virginrana) located at 142Q Seminole Rd in Atlantic Beach FL an July 15th , 2 The report provides
details on the tree's measurements , observations , and why removal is the proposed mitigation plan .
3
Introduction
During the assessment, 1 Live yaks was assessed that has a significant lean towards the neighbors
house and substantial decay at the riot flare .
Observations
• The terrain is mostly flat .
• Sail is composed of sand and loam
• Encroaching on magnolia
• Heavy Lean
• Basal rot
Similar species that experienced failure within the trees drip line
Methods
Species : Tree genus and species were identified .
Diameter at Breast Height (DBH ) : Trunk diameter was recorded to the nearest inch at 4 . 5 feet
abreast height) above grade , using a pi-tape with a variance not to exceed +1- 1 " .
Height : Height was visually estimated with a variance not to exceed +1- 15 .
drawn Spread : Approximate crown diameter was visually estimated with a variance not to
exceed +1- 10
Geolocation : Approximate locations were determined by adding paints to geolocated aerial
tiles . Locations provided by the land surveyor are more accurate, and should be used for design
purposes .
Purpose
The purpose of this report is to outline the findings of the assessment and request permission from
the City of Atlantic Beach to grant permitting approval for the removal of the 1 Lige Oak . The
observations highlight potential asks and defeats of the tree in question .
Limits of the Assignment
4
Many factors can limit specific and accurate data when performing evaluations of trees, their
conditions , and values . The determinations and recommendations presented here are based on
current data and conditions that existed at the time of the evaluation and cannot be a predictor of the
ultimate outcomes for the trees . A visual inspection was used to develop the findings , conclusions ,
and recommendations found in this report . No physical inspection of any canopy, sounding , root
crown excavation , and resistograph or other technologies were used in the evaluation of the trees .
Where pines , sanding water or brambles prohibited access, DBH , height and spread was estimated .

Conclusion
After assessing the Live yak, removal has been determined to be an ethical mitigation option . Due to
the significant Iran and along with the basal rot, the tree has been determined to have a moderate or
greater risk to structure .
