To whom it may concern,
I justin butler was contacted by general contractor Bob
Lionenwebber in order to assess the health and safety of an
approx. 70ft tall and 30-36inch diameter oak tree at 2039 vela
norte in atlantic beach.. Upon arrival at the site I approached the
tree in question. After a visual assessment it became clear that a
level 2 inspection was needed..l then proceeded to climb the tree
and inspect several areas of concern on the main trunk as well as
dead branches within the canopy. I noticed multiple signs of decay
and wounding in the main trunk as well as a large structural crack
around 35ft in the trunk.. Several branches were covered in conks
and starting to rot. The canopy of the tree was not balanced and
the trunk had a significant lean-The tree was close enough to the
nextdoor house that it posed a significant risk to the dwelling
when it fails. Which in my professional opinion was very likely to
occur. There for my recommendation was the removal of the tree
to mitigate the risk of failure.
