To Whom it May Concern:
Upon inspection of the property, I found two Laurel Oaks that should be removed. The
trees pose an unnecessary risk to person or property. Both trees are growing in between the listed
property and 353 2nd St. They are both leaning over the neighbor’s property. The trees are suffering
from root damage and root loss. There is limited soil space between the two properties and both
trees are on the property line. During construction of the homes the root sy stems on the two trees
were badly damaged and many cut and died. The side effects of this damage occur many years
later. The tree’s trunk is discolored and the canopies are very thin. Both clear signs of root damage.
There are also small holes in the trunks, where visible rot can be seen on the inside of the trees.
The way the trees are leaning make them a major hazard for the neighboring property and house.
In order to reduce that risk, both trees should be removed.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
