At your request, I have inspected the 18" Cypress tree close to the fence
in your neighbor's yard adjacent to your swimming pool. According to you,
the roots of this tree did extensive damage to the pool prior to renovation of
the pool. Your concern that the roots of the tree will interfere with the new
pool is a legitimate concern. Cypress trees have a fairly aggressive root
system and damage to the pool in the future is a possibility. In my opinion,
the Cypress tree should be considered for removal.
